Today's ride was with the team in Clermont. It was nearly a perfect day for it too. The temps were just a little cool at the start and just a little too warm at the end. I sure didn't want to get up at 4:20 to drive for an hour and a half to Clermont but, once I got there, it was a fun ride. I think the real key is I have finally started to relax on the bike. I know before I was so serious and focused while riding with the team that I rode tense. Now, I am more relaxed. I have fun chatting with my teamates on the ride and take the time to enjoy the scenery as well.

Sugarloaf is still tough. It seems like I can get up all the other hills no problem. But Sugarloaf is the only climb that I still wonder each time if I will be able to make it up. Its a humbling climb. And it also brings a sense of accomplishment when I get to the top that no other hill provides.

Only a bit more than a month to go before the event in Tahoe. I'm looking forward to finishing my first century cycling event.

OK, I'm beat. I am so going to sleep well tonight. Night...
